The power of the hero's journey in helping students build self-efficacy and resilience.

Presenter will provide current research supporting the use of story and the hero archetype to help students in grades 5-8 understand how to plan their personal story. Aspects include students getting to know themselves on multiple levels, work with tools to help deal with challenges, and build internal resilience. The presentation falls into the categories of social-emotional learning and mental health.
