My classroom teaching experience and instrucional coaching K-12 of over a decade has been entirely focused on bilingual and ESL English Learners in high needs areas including the Rio Grande Valley, Houston ISD, and Central Texas. My focus is on practical instruction driven by the neuroscience of learning, the effects of poverty on the brain, second language acquisition, culturally responsive teaching, cultural proficiency, collborative learning, and Sheltered Instruction for teachers and administrators.
